Syracuse, N.Y. — Section III’s top two wrestling teams will take the mat this weekend in an effort to extend their dominance across the state. Carthage (Division I) and Marcellus (Division II) will compete in the state dual meet tournament, held Saturday at Onondaga Community College. Both schools qualified by capturing their first-ever sectional dual meet titles earlier last week. The Comets and Mustangs will try to make history by becoming the first Section III team to win the state meet. We had the number one team in the state in the first round and we beat them.
