Crews are at the scene of a water main break in Carlisle that occurred Wednesday night, police said.
The water main break happened around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of E Street and North West Street, according to Carlisle police.
Police said drivers should be cautious when traveling between E Street and D Street in the 100 and 200 blocks, as the water main break is causing intersections and roadways to flood and freeze.
“Fire police have shut down the roads in a one-block radius around the area of the main break for the safety of our crews and those traveling through the area,” said Maurita Abeln, director of water resources for Carlisle.
Abeln said there is no set timeline, but crews are working to reopen roads as quickly as possible.
