NET Web DeskAizawl, Jan 29: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma inaugurated the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Mizoram Group Headquarters at his office on Thursday, marking a major step toward independent administration of NCC activities in the state. Previously managed under the Assam State directorate, the new headquarters will now oversee all NCC operations specifically for Mizoram. In a subsequent meeting with ministers and senior NCC officials, Lalduhoma highlighted efforts to establish the headquarters and urged Mizoram youth to join NCC for character development. Major General Vij praised the initiative, reiterating NCC’s mission to develop self-disciplined and courageous citizens free from harmful habits. Mizoram currently has four NCC units with around 8,000 cadets, with further expansion expected following the establishment of the headquarters.
