A BREAKFAST chain has closed eight locations after it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this month. Taste of Belgium closed its flagship restaurant in Cincinnati, Ohio, in September 2025, marking the chain’s eighth in a year. The breakfast company had previously closed locations in Kentucky in September 2024 and in Ohio in December 2024 and January 2025. “Filing for Chapter 11 gives us the protection we need to adapt, stay in business and continue serving our guests. Chapter 11 bankruptcy differs from Chapter 7 in that it allows businesses to remain open while they pay off debt or restructure.
