OSWEGO – January 21, 2026, Patricia Cooper Maxon, 84; of Sterling, NY passed away Wednesday, January 21st, 2026, at Huntington Living Center, Waterloo, NY; after a brief illness. When she was a young girl, her family moved to Sterling, NY. They remained in Sterling, NY where they raised their two sons together while operating a successful Sawmill Business in Fair Haven, NY called Lichenheim Cooperage. Pat was pre-deceased by her husbands: Clarence Cooper and Fred Maxon. She was also pre-deceased by her brother Manford Lehne, her son: Steven Cooper Sr., and her grandson: Steven Cooper Jr.Pat is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Curtis and Lisa Cooper of Sterling, NY; granddaughter: Jennifer Cooper of Austin, TX; grandson: Cameron (Caitlin) Cooper of Sterling, NY; and great grandchildren: Caroline and Kayce Cooper.
