Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Vatican, will visit Malta at the invitation of the Apostolic Nunciature, the Archbishop’s office announced earlier today. The visit will mark the conclusion of celebrations held over the past year commemorating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malta and the Holy See. During his stay, Cardinal Parolin will meet President Myriam Spiteri Debono as well as the Maltese Episcopal Conference. He will also deliver the keynote address at a commemorative event at the Archbishop’s Curia in Floriana, during which two books on the history of Malta-Vatican diplomatic relations will be launched.
