Danish companies paid a total of around 112 billion kroner in corporation taxes in 2024, according to new Tax Ministry figures released on Thursday. Novo Holdings, which also owns Novonesis, paid 21.6 billion kroner in corporation tax in 2024, 6 billion kroner more than the year before. Two sectors accounted for more than half of total corporation tax revenue, the Tax Ministry said. Danish companies pay tax at a general rate of 22 percent on their taxable income. Banks paid a higher rate of 26 percent in 2024 due to an additional tax on financial companies.
