Funding secured for new bridge as storm leaves beloved route shut for six months

Footpath 22, which connects Sproughton and Bramford, along the River Gipping was closed in November after a bridge collapsed due to storm damage.
However, the council has now revealed that funding to replace the bridge has been secured with an aim to begin work in the spring.
The footpath has been closed from Lower Street in Sproughton for 1,130 metres northbound.

Footpaths along the River Gipping are some of the most popular routes in the county to explore.
