DETROIT – There’s been a lot of recent chatter in media circles about the Tigers hunting another starting pitcher or two. Tigers president Scott Harris said during the winter meetings that even though the emphasis has been on rebuilding the bullpen, he has never closed the door on acquiring more starting pitching. Especially not now, when there is a fleet of quality, veteran starting pitchers still on the market. If camp opened tomorrow, the Tigers would have 11 starting pitchers. It’s not about having enough pitching, it’s about having enough quality pitching.
