SIAN Rainsley won individual gold representing Coventry Godiva Harriers at the Midland Cross-country Championships at Mallory Park. And impressive runs from Julie Emmerson in fifth, Amelia Starling in 14th and Sophie Hurst in 20th ensured Godiva also won team gold with a total of 40 points. In the senior men’s race, Joe McLeod 24th led Godiva home with Hossein Mohammadiha 38th, Scott Hudspith 45th, Ed Griffiths 48th, Clark Roberts 51st and David Cooper 56th. Godiva’s men finished on 262 points as the team finished in fourth place to just miss out on a medal. And in the under-20 women’s race, Shona Murray finished 17th while Adam Jackson and Will Chalmers placed 17th and 28th in the under-20 men’s race.
