Cadent Gas is hosting a public event tomorrow in a gazebo on the grass verge of the A1124 Colneford Hill, a road that connects Earls Colne and White Colne. Taking place between 10am until 1pm, Cadent Gas employees will inform residents on the works taking place in the villages. During the lengthy project started this week, 1,000 metres of metallic gas pipes is being removed and replaced with plastic pipes which should last for decades. A Cadent Gas spokesperson said: “Following consultation with Essex Highways, Cadent has agreed to carry out this essential work between Monday 26 January and Monday 27 April.
