Man charged with murder after woman dies in Bladen CountyThomas Latrevis Howell (Photo: Bladen County Sheriff's Office)CLARKTON, NC (WWAY) — A 36-year-old Bladenboro man is facing a murder charge after a woman died from her injuries following a reported disturbance in Bladen County. According to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a disturbance reported around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of Tina’s Lane in Clarkton. While deputies were en route, they were notified that the victim, Alisha Monique Jones, was being transported to Bladen County Hospital. As a result of that investigation, Howell was charged with murder. Authorities say Howell is being held at the Bladen County Detention Center without bond.
