The two teenage boys were arrested in Cranes Farm Road on Tuesday morning, January 27, after the pricey vehicle was stolen from the Rochford area overnight. It was reported that two people had been seen to run off from the stolen vehicle. After short, separate foot chases, shown in the bodycam footage, two teenage boys were arrested. Officers have now linked the individuals to a number of other investigations which are being progressed. A 16-year-old boy from Wickford was arrested on suspicion of:- Four counts of theft of a motor vehicle- Four counts of attempted theft of a motor vehicle- Attempted burglary- Criminal damage- Dangerous driving- Driving otherwise in accordance with a licence; and- Going equippedA 14-year-old boy from Wickford was arrested on suspicion of:- Eight counts of theft of motor vehicle- Aggravated burglary- Criminal damage- Dangerous driving- Driving otherwise in accordance with a licence- Two counts of going equipped; and- Possession of an offensive weaponBoth have been released on conditional bail until April while investigations continue.
