Santander has said it will be closing branches around the UK such as its location on Huntingdon High Street, as people move more towards digital banking. ‌The Huntingdon bank, which can be found at 44 High Street, is set to close on Tuesday, May 5. ‌In 2025, more than 500 bank branches were closed on high streets across the UK. This included eight branches in Cambridgeshire in areas such as Wisbech, Huntingdon, and St Neots.
