Twenty professors in the UNC system have signed the pledge, according to The Algemeiner. The pledge frames Palestine as an “indigenous liberation movement” confronting what it repeatedly calls a “settler colonial state.” It additionally argues that Israel’s sovereignty has been built through “warfare, expulsion,” and discrimination. The website describes BDS as “anti-racist.”
