Five local residents are facing trafficking charges following an early morning drug bust in Chatham. During a search of the home, officers seized around 86.5 grams of suspected fentanyl with a street value of $8,650. Police also seized measuring cups and a blender containing suspected fentanyl, a rifle-style BB gun, digital scales, packaging materials, and cell phones. Three men, aged 35, 40, and 44, and two women, aged 29 and 35, were also located and arrested inside the home. All five suspects have each been charged with possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking.
