A Chatham-Kent utility has made a donation to help local families achieve safe, affordable homeownership. Habitat for Humanity Chatham-Kent has received $25,000 from Entegrus to help working, lower-income families achieve their dream of owning a home. “Our role as a local utility goes beyond delivering electricity,” said Jim Hogan, president and CEO of Entegrus, in a news release. “It includes investing in partnerships like Habitat for Humanity that contribute to sustainable, stable, thriving communities.”Entegrus has partnered with Habitat for Humanity for more than a decade to help develop safe, affordable homes that strengthen neighbourhoods and support long-term community stability. Habitat officials say they are still finalizing this year’s project, with details expected to be released in the next month or so.
