More than $200 million dollars’ worth of federal reimbursable grants are approved for South Carolina.
And the state’s senior senator, Lindsey Graham, hails the announcement by the Department of Homeland Security .
Over eight years, according to the senator’s Washington office, South Carolina has endured devastating storms, including the hurricanes Ian, Helene, and Florence.
Catastrophic storms demolished homes, destroyed thousands of power lines, and killed innocent South Carolinians.
The DOT and the state’s electric cooperatives are in line for about $75 million and $94 million, respectively for their response efforts to the storms.
