Minister Ratan Lal Nath Distributes e-Bicycles to ASHA Facilitators, Vows 24×7 Power Supply in Tripura

Abhijit Nath, NET Correspondent, TripuraAgartala, January 29, 2026: Tripura Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Thursday announced that the state is striving to become the country’s leader in uninterrupted electricity supply, with a strong push towards clean and renewable energy.
Speaking at a programme jointly organised by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) at the TSECL Corporate Office, Nath distributed e-bicycles to 30 ASHA facilitators and outlined the government’s vision for 24×7 power.
Through solar power, we are already providing water supply in 25 villages.
Solar power, however, is comparatively cheaper at around Rs 4 crore per megawatt.
“If we expand solar power across the state, Tripura can lead the nation.
