Beachfront property owners could foot chunk of cost to install sargassum barriers off Puerto AventurasPuerto Aventuras, Q.R. — Seaside residents of Puerto Aventuras are hoping to install floating barriers to block incoming sargassum. The Puerto Aventuras Residents Association is proposing investing 6.6 million pesos in three floating barriers. The project includes nearly 900 meters of floating barriers that would be installed across Bahía de Fátima. The floating barriers have a lifespan of around seven years.
