It’s into this landscape that the Boulder-based Mariposa Collective returns with “Resonance,” the group’s third full-scale production since its post-pandemic revival. It’s a 90-minute, multi-textured response to a single, slippery question: What does resonance feel like in the body? As they enter the space, the word “resonance” appears stretched across the stage in dictionary format (“res·o·nance”) while formal definitions scroll by on screens. “I moved back to Boulder in 2021 and was curious about what was going on with Mariposa,” Jones said. It’s almost hypnotic.”Like many of the other artists involved, Tobin believes Mariposa is unique in Boulder, not just for its artistic range but for its infrastructure.
