Former Grain Valley police officer gets 20 years for child exploitation

A former Grain Valley, Mo., police officer was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge D. Gregory Kays to 20 years in the Bureau of Prisons to be followed by supervised release for Life.
August Price Gildehaus, 30, of Blue Springs, Mo., previously pleaded guilty to one count of enticing a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity and one count of producing child pornography.
Gildehaus admitted that he engaged in illegal sexual activity with a 15-year-old female victim.
Gildehaus admitted that the child victim took photographs of herself when she was home, and he took photographs of himself that he sent to her.
It was investigated by the Grain Valley, Mo., Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
