Jodhpur: Gram Vikas Adhikari Caught Taking ₹15,000 Bribe

Jaipur, 29 January (Udaipur Kiran): Acting on the directions of the Anti-Corruption Bureau headquarters, the ACB Jodhpur Rural unit on Thursday arrested Rajendra, Gram Vikas Adhikari of Gram Panchayat Ketu Mada under Panchayat Samiti Sekhala, Jodhpur district, while accepting a bribe of ₹15,000.
Director General of Police, ACB, Govind Gupta, said the Jodhpur Rural unit received a complaint alleging that the Gram Vikas Adhikari was demanding a six per cent commission in return for clearing payments for construction material supplied to the Gram Panchayat.
The complainant stated that his firm had a valid tender for supplying construction material in Gram Panchayat Ketu Mada and that the official was demanding a bribe for releasing the pending payment.
During verification of the complaint, it was found that the accused had already received ₹15,000 from the complainant in advance.
During the trap operation, Rajendra was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe amount of ₹15,000.
