LAHORE: The bodies of a woman and her daughter, who fell into an open sewer line near Data Darbar in Lahore, have been recovered, sources said on Thursday. Lahore DIG Operations Faisal Kamran stated the woman’s body was found at a disposal station on Outfall Road, while her daughter’s body was discovered in the Saggian area, about five kilometers from the incident site. Rescue 1122 spokesperson Farooq Ahmed stated that they received a call at 7:32 PM on Wednesday reporting that a mother and daughter had fallen into an open sewer line. When questioned about whether the family intended to file a case, Kamran stated that authorities would follow whatever course of action the family requested. Last month, a similar tragedy occurred in Punjab’s Bahawalpur district when a seven-year-old boy fell into an open manhole in Dhanote town near Lodhran city and lost his life.
