ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has announced a daily allowance of $115 for each player of national hockey team participating in the upcoming FIH Pro League, offering a timely financial uplift ahead of key international matches. This decision represents a notable improvement in the financial support extended to the players. Director General of the PSB, Muhammad Yasir Pirzada, confirmed that the allowance has been approved and will be applicable throughout the team’s involvement in the tournament. Team captain Imad Butt expressed his gratitude for the decision, describing it as a significant morale booster. The national hockey team is set to begin its FIH Pro League campaign on February 10, facing formidable opponents such as Australia and Germany.
