Officers have also been ramping up their crackdown on distracted driving in recent months, as they warn it is "a significant factor" in road safety. Shaving, applying makeup, and even eating and drinking can also count as distracted driving. In more serious cases, distracted driving can lead to you being charged for offences of Careless and maybe Dangerous Driving. Driving while using a mobile device is utterly unacceptable but unfortunately, this behaviour has become far too common on our roads.
