The police said: “the arrest occurred on January 22, 2026, after the suspects were stopped during a routine security operation and subsequently taken to the Ipetumodu Police Division for questioning. While stressing that such collaboration with local security groups remained crucial, CP Gotan said, “the command appreciates the continued support of local security outfits in tackling crime.”DSP Ojelabi added that all the suspects had been charged to court. He also assured residents that the command would sustain efforts to curb motorcycle theft and related offences across the state.
