The National Weather Service has issued a Cold Weather Advisory for the entire state from 7 p.m. Thursday to 11 a.m. Friday. Boston, Worcester and Springfield will see high temperatures in the low 20s Thursday afternoon, while Pittsfield will only get up to 16 degrees. Boston will reach a low of 2 degrees overnight, while Worcester and Springfield will bottom out at minus 2 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. According to the Cold Weather Advisory issued by the National Weather Service, exposure to those conditions for as little as 30 minutes can result in hypothermia or frostbite. If the storm tracks toward land, it would likely hit Massachusetts on Sunday and could bring extreme weather such as snow and coastal flooding.
