Coffee chain Costa has confirmed the closure of one of its two outlets in Derry city. It’s understood the coffee shop at the Lisnagelvin Shopping Centre closed earlier this month. It now has 34 sites across Northern Ireland, including a new drive-thru opened at the Lakelands Retail Park in Enniskillen, which opened in November. Confirmation of Costa’s closure at the Waterside shopping complex comes during a bleak month for the hospitality sector in Derry. The Maiden Heaven coffee shop on Waterloo Place announced its closure last week, while street food specialist Pyke ‘n’ Pommes will close its Strand Road restaurant on Saturday.
