While keeping in abeyance the University Grants Commission (Promotion of Equity in Higher Education Institutions) Regulations, 2026, the Supreme Court today expressed that the Regulations can have a very dangerous impact and divide society. In response, the CJI questioned if in such a scenario, the Regulations provide for redressal of the junior's ragging complaint.
