"There's a restaurant in my hometown that was founded in the '60s, but it shut down in the late '90s, and the building has been empty ever since. I moved away several years ago, and when I went back to visit, I found that the restaurant was not only open, but it still looked like it originally did on the outside. I was told that it's always been open and that it has never closed for business for over a decade. But I know it closed, because my BFF and I used to go there all the time until it shut down. This is something I can't attribute to time passing or the area having new things open and close over the last couple of decades."
