The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka next month, according to a top IMF official. Speaking during the meeting with the President, IMF’s Asia and Pacific Director Krishna Srinivasan said:“I’ve been to Sri Lanka four times. And for the first time, I went to parts of Sri Lanka outside Colombo for two days. So, our sympathies are with you and with the people of Sri Lanka for the lives lost and for the impact of the disaster. But I said, no, we want to express our solidarity with the people of Sri Lanka.
