The Rochelle city council voted unanimously Monday to sell 2.5 acres of property it owns on Technology Parkway for $218,000 to a developer with plans for a hotel on the land. The council approved the original agreement with LCIDA in July 2024 and it expired in December. Over the past several years, the city has purchased over 55 acres of land for future city railroad expansion.
