Back in July, the top 100 baby names boys and girls in 2024 were officially released - and the Liverpool ECHO has since been taking a look back at the most popular names for children throughout the the decades. ‌And now we want to focus on the year 1994 - 30 years before the most recent data was released. Data, courtesy of the Office for National Statistics (ONS), captures popular baby names from that year for both boys and girls - and we've included just the top 15 names for that year. We have also compared the names to the most popular baby names in the UK from the following years in 1995, exactly three decades ago.
