The Scottish SPCA is calling for animal welfare education to be incorporated into the Scottish school curriculum.

The Scottish SPCA believes classroom learning on this topic can help prevent harm, build emotional intelligence and foster respect for all living beings.
"If an animal comes into the Scottish SPCA, I don’t think people realise that it’s not fun and games.
"It’s important for them to be educated on why so many end up in the Scottish SPCA."
