Critchley, 42, of Maes Y Waen, was sentenced to 16 months’ imprisonment, suspended for a year-and-a-half, at Caernarfon Crown Court today (January 29).
He had previously admitted three counts of making an indecent photograph of a child, and one charge of possessing extreme pornography.
On these devices, police found eight still and three moving category A (the most serious) indecent images, one still and two moving category B, and nine still category C pictures.
A further 85 files and numerous internet searches were also indicative of a sexual interest in children.
Sentencing, Judge Nicola Jones told Critchley: “Be in no doubt that these images are of real children being raped, mutilated and abused, and being caused unspeakable suffering.
