Kidderminster Town Council said "abuse and intimidation" would not be tolerated after receiving "threatening emails" in recent days in response to its plans to permanently close St George's Park Paddling Pool. The Save St George's Park Paddling Pool group said: "We are aggrieved that the council are seemingly in a rush to fill the pool in given the length of time it has been left by them in its current sad and sorry state. Kidderminster Town Council said: "We want to be absolutely clear, abuse, intimidation or threatening behaviour towards councillors, council employees or any member of the community will not be tolerated." The Save St George's Park Paddling Pool group said they would welcome discussions with the council and were delighted with the "phenomenal" response to their own poll to save the pool. Not one person responded negatively, unlike the comments re the new Town Park.
