Emergency services, including officers and ambulance staff, were called to Jackson Heights Road, in Blackburn, at around 8.39pm.
This came after reports of a single vehicle collision involving a blue Vauxhall Corsa which had veered off the roadway before plummeting down an embankment.
The driver of the car, a 17-year-old boy, was found unconscious in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, reports the Manchester Evening News.
