Newton Road, in Billinge, has been closed as emergency services rushed to the scene shortly after 11.30am this morning, Thursday, January 29. A police spokeswoman said that a car had been involved in a collision with a parked vehicle. One driver has been taken to hospital by ambulance with a suspected arm injury. A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "There is a road closure in place on Newton Road. "One driver has been taken to hospital with a suspected arm injury."
