Santander has confirmed that its Andover branch will close next year as part of a major shake-up of its UK network. The High Street bank is set to shut the Andover branch on Andover High Street on May 12, one of 44 branches across the country facing closure. The announcement is part of Santander’s latest round of cuts, which could see 291 jobs placed at risk of redundancy nationwide. Reacting on Facebook, one Andover resident said: “Another service shop closing, another nail in the town centre coffin. Another charity shop?”
