Your offending must have been abundantly obvious to you.”Cummings deployed a “strikingly similar pattern of abuse” against his victims, the judge said. ‌Cummings bombarded them with messages and isolated them from friends, family and colleagues, and there was additional degradation and humiliation of the women he raped who suffered severe psychological harm. ‌Cummings even taunted one of victims that she could not stop him as he was a police officer, the court heard. During the period of Covid-19 restrictions “there was a lot of fearmongering through the job (as a police officer)”.
