Organised by Barrow Business Improvement District and the Lakes International Comic Art Festival (LICAF), 'Barrow Does Comics' is set to make its debut on Saturday, April 18. As preparations continue for the event, comic creation workshops will be held on February 5, 12 and 19 to give residents the opportunity to put their drawing skills to the test. A spokesperson from Barrow BID said: "Create your own short comic or zine and get the chance to sell it at Barrow Does Comics, Barrow’s brand new town centre event. "You only need to attend one workshop to take part - all materials are provided, but feel free to bring your favourite pens or paper."
