The decision has been made that 44 branches will shut down and the Enniskillen one is down to shut on May 12. Local MLA Deborah Erskine said: “Santander has announced this morning that it will close its Enniskillen branch in May. Now we are seeing services stripped from our provincial towns too with Santander closing its Dungannon branch last year, and now Enniskillen. “My thoughts are particularly with the staff at the Enniskillen branch, many of whom have served the local community for years. It is simply not reasonable to expect customers to travel ever-increasing distances to access basic banking services.
