The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has allotted 8.33 acres of land at Shakarparian, Islamabad, to the Department of Archaeology and Museums for the establishment of the Islamabad Museum, and the process of taking possession from CDA is currently underway. This was shared with the National Assembly Standing Committee on National Heritage and Culture during its meeting on Wednesday. The Committee also emphasized the importance of timely financial support to move the project forward and ensure the development of a national-level museum facility in the federal capital. The panel unanimously approved all proposed amendments and recommended that the bill, as introduced, be passed by the National Assembly.
