Eric Lancaster, who has worked around the coal pits since the age of 14, is Britain's oldest mining museum volunteer. In 2016, aged 84, he started volunteering at Lancashire Mining Museum in Astley, Lancashire's only colliery museum with a surviving pithead, sharing its lore with younger generations.
