Cumbria Constabulary has revealed that its Road Safety Camera vans will be in operation today on the M6 between Junction 39 Shap Interchange and Junction 37 at Killington Lake. The force will also monitor the speed of commuters on the A66 east of Penrith and the A685 between Tebay and Brough. Cumbria Constabulary is taking part in a national operation to reduce fatalities and serious injuries on the county's roads by 2040 - Vision Zero. Police have also increased deployments of Road Safety Camera vans at peaks times whilst utilising data on road harms to target hotspot areas with patrols.
