More than £11,500 has been raised after Braishfield Parish Council issued a call to action. The money will go towards funding independent planning advice in the fight against Bargate Homes’ application for 60 houses on land near Braishfield Road. Local resident Ben Holdaway, the owner of Abbey Park Cars in Premier Way, Romsey, said that the village was engaged in a “David vs. Goliath” fight with the developer. He continued: “The 60 houses would not be for Braishfield, they would be for a national need. The application is viewable on the TVBC online planning portal, under the reference 25/03028/OUTS.
