Detectorist discovers mystery debris washed up on Suffolk beach

Metal detectorist Malcolm Weale was out on Sunday and came across the remnants on Dunwich Beach which he believes is from a Second World War bomber.

It is believed the washed-up debris belongs to a USAAF bomber plane that crashed into flames in the sea.

Dunwich Heath is now a peaceful wildlife area however, during the Second World War, the heath was a heavily militarised zone.
