The Harwich Haven Authority (HHA), which manages waters around key UK ports including Felixstowe and Harwich, is focusing on creating long-term positive impact for both communities and the environment. It has already delivered £13.3 million in social value since 2022. Linzi Jobber, sustainability manager at HHA, said: "We have already made history as the first trust port to put social value at the very heart of our operations. "We want our work to have a positive, tangible impact on communities and the local environment, whether that’s investing in community projects, creating more jobs for local people, opening more apprenticeship positions or reducing our carbon footprint. In 2024 alone, HHA spent more than £1.3 million in the local economy and created 108 full-time jobs.
