Air Tanzania has officially inaugurated its flight services to Ghana on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. This marks a strategic bridge between Dar es Salaam and Accra, with a stopover in Lagos, Nigeria. On his part, Joseph Bukari Nikpe, Ghana’s Transport Minister, highlighted the need for a borderless Africa, where Africans will be able to connect with other African countries with ease. Expressing his excitement at the operations of Air Tanzania in Ghana, he continued that "it gives pleasure that Air Tanzania has taken this step to commence its flight from Dar es Salaam to Accra and Lagos. While the airline commits to providing safe, efficient and affordable air transport services, officials say adding Ghana to its destinations enforces Air Tanzania's quest to be a world-class airline of choice for connecting Africa.
